A Minecraft Movie rockets past yet another major global box office milestone during its fourth weekend, nearing the coveted $1 billion mark.

“Sinners,” which director Ryan Coogler filmed using Imax cameras, has been a force on premium screens. In Imax alone, the movie has added $12.3 million worldwide over the weekend, boosting its overall tally to $20.6 million. Those ticket sales represent 19% of the film’s overall gross.

Warner Bros and Mojang’s A Minecraft Movie has now grossed over $550 million globally at the box office. The incredibly popular video game adaption is now more than halfway to reaching one billion total.
