King Charles III has expressed his support to those living with cancer as he described how a diagnosis can be a “daunting and at times frightening” experience.

The British monarch said the “frightening” experience of cancer could also illuminate the “best of humanity” as he thanked medical workers and charities.

The British monarch was diagnosed with cancer in February 2024, but has kept the details of his disease private.

Mike Peters, who toured with U2 and Queen, had publicly battled cancer and earned an MBE for activism. He has died at 66.
