The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Monday voted to confirm South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem to head the Department of Homeland Security. The panel voted 13-2, according to The Hill. The Senate must still confirm Noem in a floor vote at a later date.
