After two years at Oregon, Mason Neville is officially heading to the next level. He was selected in the 2025 MLB Draft. The Cincinnati Reds selected Neville in the 4th round of the draft. He started his college career at Arkansas before arriving at Oregon in 2024 and developed into a highly regarded prospect.
Though there are 20 rounds in the MLB draft, Basic Academy shortstop Tate Southisene didn’t have to wait long to hear his name called at 22nd overall by the Atlanta Braves.
The first three rounds of the 2025 MLB Draft have come and gone. A total of 105 players heard their names called on Sunday, and each ought to feel like a winner just on that account.
