While the details are slim, Mastodon have just revealed that they've split with co-founding guitarist Brent Hinds. The iconic Atlantan metal group revealed the surprising news over socials today (March 7th), noting that “after 25 monumental years together, Mastodon and Brent Hinds have mutually decided to part ways.”

Mastodon are losing a member. The Atlanta metal legends announced today that Brent Hinds, their longtime lead guitarist and vocalist, is amicably leaving the band. Here’s the message:
