Rep. Mike Waltz (R-Fla.) will resign from the House on Jan. 20, the day President-elect Trump takes office, to become the national security adviser for Trump’s second term, a source familiar with the matter confirmed to The Hill.

And, like most of Trump Cabinet picks, he has had the requisite amount of exposure on Fox News. As of last month, Waltz had made 169 weekday Fox News appearances, the most of any member during the 118th Congress, according to Media Matters, a left-wing media monitoring group.

The Florida congressman has been a frequent critic of the Chinese government on many fronts, from the global supply chain to Taiwan.
