Ford said it began sending letters to affected owners this week to warn of safety risks related to potential fuel pump failures.

The latest recall serves as potentially the second largest in 2025. The largest came on May 9 in which 17 Ford and Lincoln models encompassing potentially 1.1 million vehicles were recalled due to rearview camera malfunctions that increased the risk of crashing, according to the NHTSA.

Ford has not yet released a remedy for the issue. Impacted owners will receive letters alerting them to the problem starting July 14.
