A suspect believed to be the perpetrator of the reproductive clinic bombing in Palm Springs, Calif. Saturday, has been identified as 25-year-old Guy Edward Bartkus, a resident of Twentynine Palms, home to a large marine base about an hour's drive from Palm Springs,

The person of interest in the “act of terrorism” that severely damaged a reproductive health facility in Palm Springs is dead, according to multiple media reports. An FBI spokesperson also initially confirmed the information to KTLA early Sunday morning.

The explosion on Saturday morning, which occurred in or near a vehicle less than a mile from downtown Palm Springs, Calif., was “an intentional act of terrorism,” the F.B.I. said.
