Prince William traveled to Monaco in the south of France solo on Jan. 21 to watch his beloved soccer team Aston Villa take on AS Monaco in the UEFA Champions League.

Earlier today, Prince William had an official royal engagement in London, in which he visited homelessness charity Centrepoint. Just hours after his public appearance, the Prince of Wales jetted off to Monaco where he was photographed watching his favorite soccer team, Aston Villa, compete in the UEFA Champions League.

The Prince and Princess of Wales have led tributes to celebrate the Duchess of Edinburgh’s milestone 60th birthday. Sophie, who joined the royal family more than 25 years ago upon her marriage to Prince Edward, marked the occasion privately on Monday at home with her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh.

Prince William is continuing Princess Diana's legacy through his work with Centrepoint, and the Prince of Wales visited the charity on Jan. 21 amid Kate Middleton's remission news.
