Elevations above 2500 ft can expect the most amount of snow, anywhere between 4 and 8 inches, and in turn, the most challenging conditions for travel. 1500 ft to 2500 ft will likely flip from snow to rain and then back to snow and we go through the day, leading to a very wet, slushy 2 to 4″.

"Heavy coastal and mountain rain may lead to instances of flash flooding, particularly over the windward foothills of the southern Sierra Nevada below 8,000 feet, where excessive rainfall may cause land/rock/mudslides," the NWS said in a forecast Tuesday morning.
