Pope Francis’ recovery from double pneumonia continues. As a chest X-ray has confirmed improvement. Doctors earlier this week said he’s no longer in imminent danger of death.

The pope rested peacefully overnight as he began his 27th consecutive day in the hospital Wednesday morning, the Vatican said.

Pope Francis continues to receive high-flow oxygen through nasal tubes during the day and a non-invasive mechanical mask at night.
