I'm gonna start putting my new comp together, and was recommended to buy one of those wrist straps that I guess you attatch to a running computer so you ground yourself out and don't fry your parts.

I wonder how much static charge it can dissipate and how quickly it can dissipate it. I'm sure the speed of dissipation is part of the reason you're supposed to wear it 15 minutes before you touch ...
