Did you wake up Thursday morning and say, “Where is the snow?” It took a while, but wintry precipitation moved into the metro area around 9 a.m. Snow, freezing rain, and sleet began falling around 4 a.

Meteorologists are tracking a weather system that could bring snow and freezing rain to the Willamette Valley on Wednesday and Friday.

The weekend forecast calls for some additional snow in northwestern New Jersey starting Saturday before a change to rain as temperatures rise Sunday. Most of the state will see heavy rain from the next storm.

A winter storm brought light rain and fog to Connecticut as of Thursday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

Another winter storm will bring a period of snow, rain and mixed precipitation to Connecticut this weekend, before bitter cold sets in early next week.
