Anapol Weiss law firm, with offices in more than half a dozen locations in the U.S., filed the lawsuit Monday against Roblox and Discord in the U.S. District Court of Eastern Kentucky on behalf of Audree Heine’s estate. She was a 13-year-old girl who committed suicide in 2024, and the suit is filed by the plaintiff, Jaimee Seitz, the girl’s mother.

(CNN) – Florida officials have launched a criminal investigation into the popular gaming platform Roblox. The state is accusing the company of failing to protect children from inappropriate content and online predators. Investigators said some predators have used the platform’s virtual currency to manipulate minors into sharing explicit images.

Roblox, a world-building video game, has about 40 million players under age 13 – or more than a third of its user base.
