Crews are still battling the Yellow Fire Thursday, but other fires across the Panhandle are now contained.
According to the Texas A&M Forest Service, the Yellow Fire was an estimated 14,208 acres and 55% contained as of 8:56 p.m.
Cal Farley's Boys Ranch campus was cleared for safe return Thursday morning after the Yellow Fire but will remain closed for the day.
The Texas A&M Forest Service reported the Yellow Fire was estimated to have impacted 8,500 acres as of 9:25 a.m. on Wednesday, and was approximately 30% contained.
