Doechii’s big year just got a lot bigger. The rapper has been named Billboard’s 2025 Woman of the Year and will be honored at an event taking place later this month, the publication announced on Monday.

The rapper, also known as The Swamp Princess, received the Rising Star award at the 2023 Billboard Women in Music event and has now bagged Woman of the Year, an achievement previously attained by artists like Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande.

Doechii, the female rapper who etched her name into the annals of history as only the third woman to win the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album (following in the footsteps of Lauryn Hill and Megan Thee Stallion) is set to Billboard’s 2025 Woman of the Year Award at a ceremony in Los Angeles on March 29.

Rapper Doechii, whose real name is Jaylah Hickmon, is set to be honoured with the 2025 Woman of the Year award at the Billboard Women in Music event on March 29. Recently, she took home the Best Rap Album honour at the 2025 Grammys for her mixtape Alligator Bites Never Heal,

The news arrives just one month after Doechii won the Grammy for best rap album, only the third woman to win in that category.
