The Xiaomi YU7 is the latest electric SUV from China, designed to challenge Tesla’s Model Y. Official photos of the Xiaomi YU7 have surfaced online, along with key specs from MIIT. The 681hp crossover looks like a budget-friendly Ferrari Purosangue with a McLaren nose.

Now, Xiaomi is working on a second model, a compact SUV called the YU7. Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun took to social media on Monday to share the first official photos of the YU7 after images of the SUV surfaced on the website of the China Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

While the front end of the YU7 appears similar to the SU7 sedan, it’s the rear quarter bulges and the roofline that is Purosangue-esque. When viewed from the rear-quarter angle, the Purosangue and the YU7 wear different LED taillights but the shapes of the body do indeed closely resemble each other.

Although the Xiaomi SU7's thunderous Nürburgring record fell between blurred lines, it won’t stop the carmaker from forging ahead with its second model.
