The US is in touch with both India and Pakistan in a bid to de-escalate tensions in the wake of April 22, Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir which claimed 26 lives, even as Pakistan continued ceasefire violations along LoC for fourth consecutive night.

Following the deadly Pahalgam attack in Kashmir, Pakistan's Army faces internal unrest, marked by increased resignation requests and loyalty concerns. An advisory from Major General Faisal Mehmood Malik urges troops to maintain morale amidst rising tensions with India.

Government sources stated that the banned channels were circulating provocative and communally charged content, as well as false narratives and misinformation aimed at India, its armed forces, and security agencies.
