Virginia Giuffre, one of Jeffrey Epstein’s accusers, has died, her family said in an April 25 statement. Giuffre, 41, died near her home in Neergabby, Australia. The cause of death was suicide, her family said in the statement.

Giuffre was one of the first people to call for criminal prosecution against Epstein, which he eventually faced.

Virginia Giuffre, who spoke out against Jeffrey Epstein and Britain's Prince Andrew, "was a fierce warrior in the fight against sexual abuse and sex trafficking," her family said.
