Oregon and Penn State don’t have a long history of battles on or off the football field, but that’s beginning to change with the Ducks joinging the Big Ten and the Nittany Lions expanding their efforts to the West coast.

Penn State and Oregon are days away from squaring off in the Big Ten championship game. The Nittany Lions and Ducks are playing for conference bragging rights, as well as a first-round bye in the College Football Playoff — and possibly the No. 1 overall seed.

The Penn State Nittany Lions navigated an offseason of change, critical injuries, three tense road games, that loss and its resulting boos to earn a date with the Oregon Ducks in Indianapolis.
