There’s obviously great interest in the first overall pick in April’s draft. The Tennessee Titans opted for University of Miami signal-caller Cam Ward. In his first season as the team’s head coach, Brian Callahan suffered through a 3-14 campaign, the franchise’s worst showing since a 2-14 showing back in 2014 under Ken Whisenhunt.

Ward, who won the 2024 Davey O’Brien Award (college football’s top quarterback) and was Miami’s first player to win ACC Player of the Year, was the franchise's (including Oilers) third player to be drafted with the first overall pick.

Cam Ward is set to make his NFL debut as the Titans face Bo Nix and the Broncos, marking the beginning of a new era in Tennessee.
