Garrett Crochet turns up heat on Red Sox
Crochet went 6-12 with a 3.58 ERA in his first year as a starter. However, the 25-year-old recorded a stellar 2.69 FIP (Fielding Independent Pitching) on a White Sox team that lost an MLB-record 121 games. Crochet’s 209 strikeouts ranked seventh in baseball, earning AL Comeback Player of the Year honors.
