Sundance is amid a process to decide a new location after a contract with City Hall to hold the festival largely in Park City expires. The selection process has been one of the overriding themes of the chatter throughout Sundance.

Access to the Sundance Film Festival doesn’t require a trip to Park City, Utah, anymore — just an internet connection. Over half of the films that premiered this past week will be available to steam on the festival’s online platform starting Thursday.

For Park City’s full-time residents, many of whom have grown up with the Sundance Film Festival, the idea of it leaving seems unimaginable.
