The Department of Homeland Security has revoked the collective bargaining agreement for thousands of TSA employees, a move critics argue will undermine worker rights and aviation security.

The Department of Homeland Security, under Secretary Kristi Noem, ended its collective bargaining with thousands of employees under the Transportation Security Administration Friday. The move, which affects tens of thousands of employees,

"Attempting to negate [TSA workers'] legally binding collective bargaining agreement now makes zero sense – it will only reduce morale and hamper the workforce," said Rep. Bennie G. Thompson, a Democrat from Mississippi and ranking member of the Committee on Homeland Security, in a statement on Friday.
