There was mass chaos at a Cub Scout outing in New Jersey after a lightning strike killed one man and injured at least 14 others, a witness says.

At least one person was killed and 13 others, including a 7-year-old, were injured in a lightning strike at an outdoor archery club in southern New Jersey on Wednesday evening, according to officials.

Robert Montgomery, 61, who was identified by the mayor as an instructor, died from his injuries, according to Jackson Township Police Department.
