Creek graduate Kelvin Banks Jr. was among four finalists that included South Carolina's Kyle Kennard, Penn State's Abdul Carter and LSU's Will Campbell.

HOUSTON -- Texas offensive lineman Kelvin Banks Jr. won the Lombardi Award on Wednesday night as the nation's best collegiate lineman. Banks beat out finalists LSU offensive tackle Will Campbell, Penn State defensive end Abdul Carter and South Carolina defensive end Kyle Kennard for the award presented in Houston.

Kelvin Banks Jr. was already on pace to become a first-round NFL Draft pick this spring. Now, the Texas starting left tackle can some extra hardware to guarantee it. Banks won the Lombardi Award on Wednesday night during a ceremony at the Hilton Americas in Houston.
