Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde, BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis, who is projected to be the Next CM of Maharashtra and NCP leader Ajit Pawar on Thursday night reached the residence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to discuss the power-sharing pact in the state.

Maharashtra caretaker Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis, NCP chief Ajit Pawar and other Mahayuti leaders met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president JP Nadda in Delhi on Thursday.

The uncertainty surrounding the selection of Shinde's successor remains, as coalition leaders have yet to reach a consensus on the candidate.

BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis and Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde are the top contenders for the chief ministers’ post in Maharashtra. However, speculation are rife that Fadnavis will take over as the next CM.
