French prosecutors are investigating after a masked gang tried to kidnap the daughter of a crypto businessman in Paris in what is at least the third violent attack targeting wealthy crypto players and their families in recent months.

Armed assailants tried to kidnap the daughter and grandson of a French cryptocurrency boss in Paris, police said, in a brazen daytime attack that was caught on camera.

French Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau said he will meet with French crypto entrepreneurs to discuss how to protect them.
