The Bruins, Penguins, and Kraken are still looking to fill the top spot behind their benches. There are familiar names on the market (Peter Laviolette and John Tortorella) and some fresh faces available (Marco Sturm, Misha Donskov, and Marc Savard).

With Sweeney signing a two-year extension earlier this week, it looks like his search for a new head coach is now entering its home stretch. Bruins team president Cam Neely said in-person interviews would begin soon in an interview with The Boston Globe after Sweeney's extension was announced.

After getting his contract extension, Don Sweeney has interviewed at least six candidates for Bruins head coach, including Jay Woodcroft.
