The BCCI has made playing domestic cricket mandatory for its contracted cricketers unless there is a fitness issue following the series loss in Australia earlier this month.

Kohli could not make it for Delhi’s upcoming away clash against Saurashtra, beginning in Rajkot on January 23, due to a neck sprain but he has communicated to DDCA that he is available for the team’s last league match of the Ranji Trophy.

Delhi cricket team coach Sarandeep Singh confirmed on Monday that Virat Kohli will be available for selection for the side’s Ranji Trophy match against Railways, set to start on January 30.

Virat Kohli last played a Ranji trophy match against Uttar Pradesh in 2012. He is now set to play in the premier domestic tournament after more than 12 years. Kohli has made himself available for Delhi's game against Railways.
