The justices will review a law that would effectively shut down TikTok in the United States this month unless the company divests from Chinese ownership.

T he fate of TikTok in the United States will soon be in the hands of the Supreme Court, as the Justices hear oral arguments Friday over a law that could shut down the popular social media platform.

The New Mexico Supreme Court on Thursday ruled against several local ordinances in the state that aim to restrict distribution of the abortion pill. In a unanimous opinion, the court said the ordinances invade the legislature's authority to regulate reproductive care.

The New Mexico Supreme Court ruled Thursday that local governments cannot restrict abortion services, striking down ordinances adopted by Clovis, Hobbs and two eastern New Mexico counties.
