Over 200 people were detained during the previous nights of protests against the government’s decision to suspend negotiations to join the European Union.

Large crowds of protesters took to the streets of Tbilisi, Georgia for the fourth night in a row, to demonstrate against the country’s decision to suspend EU membership talks. Clashes between demonstrators and police also took place earlier this year.

Georgia’s premier ruled out holding talks with the opposition after four nights of violent clashes in the capital helped propel the lari to a two-year low against the dollar.
