A deal to end the fighting between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon went into effect Nov. 27, but there have been multiple claims of cease-fire violations.

The ceasefire agreement between Hezbollah and Israel brokered by the United States and France was characterized by President Biden as an attempt to deliver a "permanent cessation of hostilities."

Hezbollah said in a statement that it fired on an Israeli military position in the area as a “defensive and warning response” after what it called “repeated violations” of the ceasefire deal by Israel.
