All of Interstate 80 near American Canyon was shut down Saturday morning due to a hazmat situation, the California Highway Patrol said.

A part of Interstate 80 in Solano County was closed for nearly two hours after a hazardous leak on the roadway, according to the California Highway Patrol. Around 9:55 a.m., CHP announced that I-80 eastbound would be closed at SR-37 because of a hazmat situation.

A full closure of Interstate 80 eastbound at State Route 37 is in effect due to a hazmat spill in Vallejo.
