Dipoto gave his thoughts during spring training. Dipoto believes the team is capable of getting the job done as is.

Ultimately, the criticism is mostly geared toward ownership and the lack of resources it has provided to the front office.

Veteran infielder Justin Turner joined the Chicago Cubs on a one-year, $6 million deal in late February, as the 40-year-old prepares to join his seventh big league team and return to the National League for the first time since the 2022 season.

The Seattle Mariners had the best starting pitching in the major leagues last season but it was undermined by a low-scoring offense that still hasn't been improved.
