The New York Rangers continued their recent dominance over the cross-town rival Islanders, going into UBS Arena on Tuesday night and romping to a 5-1 victory. The Rangers have won six of their last seven meetings with the Islanders,

Brodzinski, Rempe and Brennan Othmann each was plus-3. They formed New York’s most effective line with simple, straight-ahead hard work, and by getting to the net seemingly every shift. The Islanders owned the puck for much of the first 40 minutes, except when this line was out there, and at times when Carrick’s third line produced similar shifts.
