Defenseman Tony DeAngelo scored on a breakaway 33 seconds into overtime as the New York Islanders extended the NHL's longest winning streak to seven games, edging the host Tampa Bay Lightning 3-2 on Saturday night.

Tony DeAngelo scored just 33 seconds into overtime to lead the New York Islanders past the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-2. After a scoreless first period, Jake Guentzel opened the scoring when he redirected a shot past Islanders goaltender Ilya Sorokin.

Scott Mayfield exited in the second period, however, marking the third time in six games a defenseman could not finish the game.
