Sterling Sharpe becomes first South Carolina player to make Pro Football Hall of Fame
Sharpe is also the first former South Carolina player to ever be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. While playing for the Gamecocks, Sharpe earned first-team All-America honors in 1987 and went on to become the No. 7 overall pick in the 1988 NFL Draft.
