Zhang Weili denied Tatiana Suarez's quest for the strawweight crown, stuffing all but one of the challenger's takedown attempts and rolling to a dominant victory Saturday at UFC 312.

China's undisputed UFC strawweight champion Zhang Weili retained her title in dominant fashion at UFC 312 in Sydney, Australia.

Suarez is outstanding in takedown average, posting a 6.20 mark, to just 2.51 for Zhang. Suarez is more accurate on takedowns, too, posting a 61.36% mark, to just 46.30% for the champ. In submission average, Suarez has a 0.92-to-0.50 advantage, as well.

Teixeira's UFC debut turned into a quick day at the office, as he knocked out Tafa with a standing elbow in just 35 seconds. The 25-year-old Brazilian is no stranger to quick finishes. He has finished all eight of his pro bouts inside the first round, seven by via knockout.
