Bryce Underwood's recruitment was a wild one. He goes to high school just outside of Ann Arbor, so he is right in the University of Michigan's backyard. However, Underwood originally committed to LSU, and for a while, it looked like he was going to play for the Tigers.

Jahkeem Stewart of New Orleans has made his college choice between LSU, Oregon and USC. The Edna Karr student played last season as a defensive lineman at St. Augustine in Louisiana.

USC beat out Ohio State, Oregon, LSU and others for Stewart, a Louisiana native who is the No. 16 prospect in the 247Sports Composite in the 2025 recruiting cycle. Stewart was initially a member of the 2026 cycle but reclassified in October.

The five highest-rated conference champions are guaranteed a spot, with seven at-large bids up for grabs. In the fifth rankings, Penn State, Notre Dame, Georgia, Ohio State, Tennessee, SMU, Indiana, and Alabama are in. On the other side, Miami, Ole Miss, South Carolina, and Clemson lead the first four teams out.
