Caleb Williams took a vicious hit from linebacker Jack Campbell on Thanksgiving when he decided not to run out of bounds during the Chicago Bears game against the Detroit Lions. In the moment it looked like Campbell might have gotten lucky that Williams tried to turn up field rather than go to the sideline because he did not appear to be giving any consideration to not hitting Williams at full speed.

The Lions beat the Bears 23-20 last week but Jack Campbell sparked controversy with a late low hit on the quarterback Williams that the Chicago players took exception to.

According to NFL Media, the Bears-Lions game averaged 37.5 million viewers on CBS, which makes it the most-watched early Thanksgiving Day game on record.

After setting the all-time viewership record for the early Thanksgiving game last year, the Lions crushed that mark in their win over the Bears last week.
