Flyers general manager Danny Brière usually has a pretty good poker face, but he walked around the Wells Fargo Center press box with a grin on Thursday night. The only problem was nobody knew why until his suite in the corner of the press box was already empty.

Their Philadelphia Flyers careers ended with a whimper. Morgan Frost and Joel Farabee both played in the team’s 3-0 loss to the New York Islanders on Thursday night at Wells Fargo Center, with Frost managing two shots on goal before leaving midway through the second period with an apparent minor injury or illness,

The Flyers freed up a bit of cap space with the clear out of Farabee's contract, and they might be setting up for more.
