Day 1 of the 2025 Draft lasted a little longer than usual, going from Oklahoma prep shortstop Eli Willits at No. 1 to the Nationals to Nate Snead at No. 105 to the Angels as a compensation selection.

Oklahoma pitcher Kyson Witherspoon led the field after the Boston Red Sox took him with the No. 15 pick in the draft.
