The MP40 was the primary submachinegun of the Wehrmacht during WW2. Designed in 1938 it fired a 9x19mm Parabellum. It could be loaded with a 32 or 64 round magazine. Over 1.1 million were made. They were much loved by German troops. The allies fondly referred to them as the “Schmeisser”. Here Grenadier Eisele is demonstrating a method for shooting at distance with short controlled bursts.
