Have you ever heard an eerie whinny coming from the woods at night? You might be hearing an Eastern Screech Owl. Screech Owls have a variety of sounds that denote different things. Their even pitched trill, called a tremolo, is used between mates communicating with each other. They have a rattle sound that they make when agitated and a high pitched "bark" that indicates alarm.
