Moules Mariniere Fish Pie. Why haven’t we been doing this all along? The cooking liquor from a moules mariniere is such an obvious base for a fish pie, bringing with it buckets of oceanic flavour that makes a fish pie taste less like cheesy creamy mash, and more like something that actually comes from the sea! Yes it’s a little bit sloppy, BUT, that makes it all the better. No need for smoked fish here. The mussels do all the work.
